Basic Technical Requirements

The following are the basic requirements needed for online streaming via the Groupmuse platform:

  • Internet: at least 7 mbps upload speed (test your internet speed here: https://www.speedtest.net/)
  • A relatively new laptop or desktop computer
  • An external USB microphone or audio interface (to be connected via laptop). Our 'entry level' recommendations:

  • A built-in computer webcam, or cell phone with a good camera (the following apps allow you to connect your cell phone camera to a laptop as a webcam, via wireless connection or USB)
